Abstract
												⺠Fundamental characteristics of a solid oxide redox flow battery were studied. ⺠A gas-diffusion based time-dependent 1-D numerical simulation was performed. ⺠Reasonable and consistent results were obtained for qualitative discussion. ⺠The two reaction compete, and their balance leads to a quasi-steady state. ⺠It was found that gas diffusion in the redox metal needs to be carefully designed.
