Abstract
⺠Four binder materials were compared for use in Fe2O3 electrodes in alkaline solution. ⺠The H2 evolution potential was affected by the binder material of the electrode. ⺠PTFE was the best binder for the alkaline electrolyte without additives. ⺠Both PTFE and PE were suitable binders for the electrolyte with K2S additives. ⺠The Fe/C electrode capacity fading could be partly attributed to Fe2O3 dropout.
