Abstract
⺠Two methods of Pt-Au nanoparticles preparation were applied. ⺠High dispersion of Pt on Au nanoparticles is necessary for the direct oxidation of HCOOH. ⺠Severe electronic modification of Pt by Au can induce deactivation of the catalyst.
