Abstract
⺠A two-phase flow model for the cathode side of a PEFC is presented. ⺠The gas channel (GC) is assumed to be a structured porous medium. ⺠Two-phase Darcys law is applied everywhere. ⺠The effect of immobile saturation (IS) in the diffusion layer (DL) is included. ⺠Neglecting the GC flooding leads to an overestimation the cell performance. ⺠Considering the IS leads to a higher liquid water saturation level in the DL.
