Abstract
Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) showed that the compound [Cu(dabco-CH2CH3)(H2O)Br3] (1) underwent reversible phase transitions. Single crystal X-ray diffraction data detected that it transformed from a room-temperature phase Pnma to a low-temperature phase P21/c. Study of the deuterated compound [Cu(dabco-CH2CH3)(D2O)Br3] ruled out the effect of isotope effects on the phase transition temperature of the compound [Cu(dabco-CH2CH3)(H2O)Br3].159
