Abstract
A novel triangular double helicate [Zn3L2(H2O)6]6Â + results from the subcomponent self-assembly of a C3-symmetric triamine, zinc(II) and 2-formylpyridine. This sandwich-like complex contains relatively open peripheral apertures, which could bind selected guests such as tetraphenylborate anion via complementary arrangement.105
