Abstract
A naphthol-based fluorescent chemosensor NABT showed high selectivity and sensitivity toward detection of Al3+ ion in an around 42-fold fluorescence turn-on fashion, and the emission intensity is hardly disturbed by other metal ions. The emission of NABT-Al3+ adduct could be almost quenched on addition of 2.0 equivalent EDTA, suggesting a reversible chemosensing property.98
