Abstract
A porous metal-organic framework based on fluorescent Tb(III) metal center has been successfully prepared by using a hetro-donor organic ligand. This MOF shows a 3D microporous framework with 1D channels running along the c-axis with the uncoordinated pyridyl N atoms pointing to the channel center. On account of its strong fluorescence and high density of uncoordinated N atoms located in the channels, this MOF could be applied as a fluorescent chemosensor for TNP with high sensitivity and selectivity. Furthermore, the sensing mechanism has also been discussed.219
