Abstract
Based on CH3ONa-catalyzed two-step-transesterification procedure from DMC and α,ω-alkanediol (BD, PD, HD or BDM), the compensation of insufficiently-large molecular-weight (Mn = 104 g/mol) and desirably-high Tm for the obtained poly(alkylene carbonate)s is realized from two cooperating reversible processes with the CH3ONa-catalyzed chain-growth and the diol-induced chopping effect.65
