Abstract
Based on multicarboxylate and N-containing ligands, three ZnII compounds were obtained. 1 has a 2D framework and is a uninodal 4-connected net. 2 has a 2D sheet structure and (3,6)-connected net with (43)(46·66·83) topology. 3 is a 2D layer structure and binodal (4,4)-connected net. The hydrogen bonds between water molecules and uncoordinated carboxylate oxygen atoms extend the 2D layer into a 3D supramolecular architecture. Moreover, compound 3 demonstrates high sensitivity in the detection of nitroaromatic explosives as a fluorescent sensor.270
