Abstract
Three novel borate supramolecular frameworks constructed from isolated B4, B5 clusters and 1-D B17-based chains. 1 and 2 exhibit 3-D supramolecular hydrogen-bonded frameworks built by isolated [B4O5(OH)4]2Â â and [B5O6(OH)4]â clusters, respectively. 3 represents the first example of 3-D supramolecular framework borate made of alternative linkages of two unique B17-based 1-D chains.262
