Abstract
Two Mg(II) coordination polymers with different dimensions have been successfully synthesized by selecting the ligands with different number of arms. Complex 1 is a two-dimensional layer which can be represented as a (3,6)-connected 2-nodal net with a kgd topology, while complex 2 exhibits a three-dimensional pillar-layer structure. In addition, complex 1 exhibits extensive solid photoluminescence emission and a high adsorption heat (Qst) for CO2.
