Abstract
Four novel curcumin analogues metal(II) chelates are synthesized and characterized by physico-chemical techniques. They are strong intercalators and potential nucleases as compared to curcumin based free ligand. This exploration reveals that Cu(II) complex has an admirable biological profile.
