Abstract
Two d10 metal â organic frameworks (MOFs) based on biphenyl-3,4â²,5-tricarboxylate (H3bpt) and 1,3-bi(4-pyridyl)propane (bpp), Zn(Hbpt)(bpp) (1), [Cd(Hbpt)(bpp)(H2O)] (2), were obtained and characterized. 1 features a 2D grid layer and 2 affords a 1D ladder-like chain. The MOFs exhibit interesting fluorescent dual emission in the solid state.
