Abstract
A new cyano-bridged bimetallic complex [Mn(5-Clsaltmen)(H2O)(CH3OH)] {[Mn(5-Clsaltmen)(H2O)]W(CN)8[Mn(5-Clsaltmen)(CH3OH)]}·3.5H2O·2CH3OH [5-Clsaltmen = N,Nâ²-(1,1,2,2-tetramethylethylene)bis(5-chlorosalicylideneiminato) dianion] (1) was synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. Magnetic studies for 1 reveal that antiferromagnetic interactions (J = â 4.6 cmâ 1) between WV and MnIII centers are operating within the cyanide-bridged WMn2 trimer.
