Abstract
Two new cobalt phosphonates with a 2D layered structure, [enH2]0.5[Co(HL)(H2O)] · H2O (1) and [Co2(HL)(H2L)2] · 2NH(CH3)2 · 3H2O (2) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions by using the 2-hydroxyphosphonoacetic acid as ligand. The surface photovoltage properties of compounds 1 and 2 have also been studied.
