A new supramolecular net constructed with 2D (4,4) layer subunits displaying unique 4-connected msw/P42/nnm topology: Structure, fluorescence and catalytic properties

A new supramolecular framework has been constructed by the assembly of CoII center with flexible benzimidazolyl-based ligand and 5-hydroxyisophthalate, which features a unique msw-P42/nnm topology. The results of catalytic experiment show that the complex presents high efficiency as a heterogeneous catalyst for the degradation of methyl orange in Fenton-like process.
