Abstract
The first examples of mercury chalcogenidostannates with transition metal complexes as structure-directing agents, namely, [Fe(phen)3]Hg2Sn2Se7·1.5eta·0.25H2O (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline; eta = ethanolamine) (1) and [Ni2(teta)2(μ-teta)]HgSn3Se9 (teta = triethylenetetramine) (2), have been obtained solvothermally, whose structures feature different infinite chains.
