Abstract
A chemosensor based on naphthol and quinoline moieties has been synthesized for the detection of Cr3Â + and Al3Â + as a colorimetric and fluorescent sensor in methanol. The sensor exhibited a selective colorimetric recognition towards Cr3Â + via color change from yellow to colorless and a sensitive fluorescent recognition towards Al3Â +.
