A highly-thermostable 3D CdII coordination framework based on a new 1,2,4-triazole derivatives: crystal structure, topology and luminescence

► First reported transition-metal compound of new multi(bidentate)-ligand 3-(pyrid-2-yl)-5-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)-1,2,4-triazole. ► A 3D (3,4)-connected network constructed from [Cd2(trz)]2 dimeric units and 1D [Cd1L] polymeric chains. ► The framework exhibits both high thermal stability and strong photoluminescence.
