Abstract
► Anderson-type polyoxoanion was utilized as template to construct a 3D supramolecular host-guest compound for the first time by low temperature co-solvothermal strategy. ► Anderson-anion-templated host-guest compound 1 shows good catalytic activity in photocatalyzing degradation of organic dye RhB, which may facilitate the design of new polyoxometalate-based host-guest materials with interesting photocatalytic properties. ► The flexible N,N′-bis(isonicotinoyl)-trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane ligand was synthesized and first introduced to the polyoxometalate systems to construct hybrid frames.
