Abstract
⺠Triaxial tests suggest that soft mud deposits in nature cannot be liquefied by waves under storm conditions. ⺠Re-interpretation of literature results suggest that maximal wave damping occurs after a storm. ⺠Our results suggest that fluid mud is formed by auto-saturation during a storm or saturation after that storm.
