Abstract
⺠Flavonoids have different effects on H2O2 production by heart and brain mitochondria. ⺠Quercetin, kaempferol and epicatechin inhibit mitochondrial H2O2 production. ⺠Quercetin, kaempferol and apigenin inhibit Complex I activity. ⺠Epicatechin, quercetin and kaempferol reduce cytochrome c.
