Abstract
- A novel putative binding site for neonicotinoids is formed by two adjacent α subunits in nicotinic acetylcholine receptors.
- Some neonicotinoids interact with “loop G” of the complementary side in the Lymnaea stagnalis acetylcholine binding protein.
- The α-α interface of insect nAChRs is therefore likely to play an important role in neonicotinoid actions.
