Abstract
The growth of ginseng pathogen C. destructans (Zinss) Scholten is promoted by ginsenoside Rb1 but inhibited by its metabolites. All tested fungi are able to deglycosylate proto-panaxadiol ginsenosides using a similar transformation pathway, albeit with different sensitivities.122
