Abstract
⺠Autophagic removal of oxidized structures is a universal feature of eukaryotic cells. ⺠Cellular sites of ROS production and signaling may be primary targets of autophagy. ⺠Mitophagy plays a role in controlling mitochondrial number and quality during stress.
