Abstract

âº The 119 genes, up-regulated during cucumber somatic embryogenesis (SE) were identified. âº CsSEF2, CsSEM1, CsSESTK1 and CsSECAD1 showed increased transcripts accumulation in SE. âº RT-PCR of these 4 analyzed genes indicates that they may have pleiotropic effects. âº The CsSEF2 and CsSEM1 mRNAs localization suggest their role in embryo tissue organization.
