Abstract
► APSR1, a gene involved in the regulation of root hair elongation was identified. ► APSR1 is proposed to modulate auxin distribution in the root tip. ► Due to its nuclear localization APSR1 is proposed to act as a transcription factor. ► A role of APSR1 in regulating root response to Pi availability via PIN7 is proposed.
