Abstract
► Nonplant myrosinases lack known glycosylation and disulfide bridges of plant myrosinases. ► T-DNA insertion mutants were used to individually purify nearly identical isoenzymes. ► Two native myrosinase isoenzymes with posttranslational modifications were purified. ► TGG1 is soluble and TGG2 is insoluble in initial crude extracts prepared with a low salt buffer. ► Myrosinase is active in a range of temperature and pH conditions, and after deglycosylation.
