Abstract
⺠Nonplant myrosinases lack known glycosylation and disulfide bridges of plant myrosinases. ⺠T-DNA insertion mutants were used to individually purify nearly identical isoenzymes. ⺠Two native myrosinase isoenzymes with posttranslational modifications were purified. ⺠TGG1 is soluble and TGG2 is insoluble in initial crude extracts prepared with a low salt buffer. ⺠Myrosinase is active in a range of temperature and pH conditions, and after deglycosylation.
