Abstract
► Exposure of Eisenia andrei to organophosphate dimethoate using the artificial OECD soil. ► Molecular biomarkers were sensitive indicators of toxicity. ► Dimethoate caused inhibition of AChE, CES and CAT activity. ► Initial induction of the efflux pump activity was followed by its inhibition. ► Dose applied in agriculture caused significant changes in measured biomarkers.
