Abstract
⺠We investigated the effects of environmental conditions on soil communities in the maritime Antarctic. ⺠After 1 year lipid makers showed bacterial communities responded to organic substrate additions. ⺠Responses to experimental warming were not detected in the north, but were in the south. ⺠Warming may therefore constrain the responses of bacterial communities to substrate additions.
