Abstract
⺠CO2 and N2O fluxes during soil thaw in a Mollisol are related to root mass/length. ⺠CO2 emissions were related to available and aggregate-protected organic matter pools. ⺠N2O emissions were related to aggregate-protected organic matter. ⺠Relationships with substrate pools indicate differences in organism substrate use.
