Carbon quality and the temperature sensitivity of soil organic carbon decomposition in a tallgrass prairie

► We incubated soil samples with changing temperatures (low-high-low). ► Field warming and litter exclusion treatments increased Q10 of SOC decomposition. ► Q10 of SOC decomposition increased with increasing lab incubation cycles. ► SOC quality negatively correlated with Q10 across treatments and incubation cycles.
