Abstract
⺠Negative relationship between evenness of plant species and diversity of earthworms. ⺠Plant species identity had a marked effect on relationship. ⺠Higher N inputs reduced earthworm abundance, biomass under Trifolium repens. ⺠Earthworm richness negatively influenced by elevated amounts of N inputs.
