Abstract
⺠Summer wildfire substantially reduces the size of heathland soil N and P stores. ⺠Effects of N addition on soil nutrient concentrations persist even after fire. ⺠Fire increases leaching of nutrients other than N, while N is strongly retained. ⺠N addition increases soil microbial activity and changes community composition.
