Abstract
⺠The effect of temperature on oak and pine leaf litter decomposition was assessed. ⺠We developed a novel litter slurry incubation approach. ⺠Temperature did not effect respiration during the first 14 days of incubation. ⺠Enzyme production was initially lower at the warmer temperature. ⺠Decomposition later increased with temperature as enzyme pools increased.
