Abstract
⺠Mycorrhiza (AMF)-induced resistance against nematodes: modes of action unclear. ⺠AMF decrease burrowing nematode penetration in banana. ⺠Soil application of mycorrhizal root exudates also decreases nematode penetration. ⺠Nematodes showed reduced attraction towards mycorrhizal root exudates in vitro. ⺠Thus, AMF-induced resistance affects nematode penetration and exudates play a role.
