Abstract
⺠Coupled model systems describing biochemical reactions and gaseous transport in soil are reviewed. ⺠Explicit modelling of gaseous transport is an advantage for the prediction of GHG emission. ⺠Modelling of all gaseous components and essential pathways is important. ⺠Application of simple vs complex models and up-scaling strategy is discussed.
