Abstract
The carotenoids production by R. rubra cell was statistically examined in an airlift photobioreactor which operated at batch mode. In the microbial carotenoid production process, several variables that influenced on cell's carotenogenesis had interactional effects in the bioreactor and therefore, the responses such as the cell growth and carotenoids formation showed curvature around the optimal setting. The reasons for performing this study was to create statistical models that could predict the results for specific experimental conditions.
