Abstract
⺠Year-round N2O measurements on boreal mineral agricultural soils during 10 years were compiled. ⺠N2O emissions were higher from annual than from perennial crops. ⺠The long non-vegetated period increases N2O emissions in the boreal region compared to other regions. ⺠Annual N2O emissions can be estimated using statistical models with the effect of crop type and fertilizer rate.
