Abstract
► Year-round N2O measurements on boreal mineral agricultural soils during 10 years were compiled. ► N2O emissions were higher from annual than from perennial crops. ► The long non-vegetated period increases N2O emissions in the boreal region compared to other regions. ► Annual N2O emissions can be estimated using statistical models with the effect of crop type and fertilizer rate.
