Abstract
⺠Climate change is a major challenge for the wine industry in Mediterranean areas. ⺠A comparative socio-ecological approach is used to study wine industry adaptation capacity. ⺠Capital, cooperation, irrigation and diversification are key elements of adaptation. ⺠Our research approach provides comprehensive insights for adaptation of agroecosystems. ⺠Studies of risk for viticulture need to focus on both climatic and non-climatic factors.
