Abstract
► We reconstructed tupelo-honey yield from 1850 to 2009. ► Honey yield has declined since the mid-1980s with the two lowest years in 1997 and 2007. ► The longest extended period of low yield occurred from 1877 to 1898. ► Changes in July river flow are associated with the recent decline in yield. ► Reconstructions allow the examination of the natural range of variability with yield.
