Abstract
- Verify the optimal AC frequency range for industrial electro stunning by investigating the electrical impedance spectra.
- The maximum average impedance value was found at 100Â Hz, individual peak values from 70-100Â Hz.
- Due to measured impedance values it is concluded that the optimal range for electro stunning Atlantic salmon is 70 to 100Â Hz.
- The highest impedance measurements are found in the range from 60 to 800Â Hz, which are well suited for electro stunning.
- The measured electrical impedance indicating that 50Â Hz to 1Â kHz is an acceptable frequency range for electro stunning.
