Abstract
A strain of V. alginolyticus with high ammonia-nitrogen degradation rate, which was safe for L. vannamei was acquired. Polyclonal antibodies (Pabs) with high titer were obtained. An indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (indirect ELISA) was set up to detect V. alginolyticus. The technique is an effective method to quantify the probiotics of V. alginolyticus cells in the cultured water.
