Abstract
⺠We use a case study approach to analyse the role of shrimp farmer clustering. ⺠Clustering appears more suitable for intensive producers in complying with BMPs. ⺠Success of clusters is heavily influenced by vertical coordination in the value chain. ⺠State support is needed to improve private and public support to cluster formation.
