Abstract
⺠Carnosine supplementation does not improve growth performance of trout fed an all-plant-protein diet. ⺠Cellular muscle development was not enhanced by carnosine supplementation. ⺠Feeding trout an all-plant-protein diet results in increased muscle protein degradation via calpain induced proteolysis.
