Abstract
âºMorphological plasticity in cultured mussels was analyzed along a density gradient. âºDifferences in morphological ratios (H/L, W/L and H/W) due to density were observed. âºNo influence of culture density on the energy distribution (CI) was detected. âºVolume-Length and Area-Length allometries suggested asymmetric competition processes. âºMorphological plasticity mitigate the effect of intra-specific competition in mussels.
