Abstract
⺠Drug addicts and non-addicted controls worked on a delay-discounting task. ⺠Time to reward delivery was described either as dates or as intervals. ⺠Discounting was stronger when time was presented as intervals. ⺠Addicts' discount rates varied substantially according to the presentation of time. ⺠Controls changed their choices depending on time presentation only slightly.
