Abstract
► We studied the effects of slash management treatments on Ips perturbatus in Picea glauca. ► Higher levels of attack and emergence occurred on dispersed logs compared to decked logs. ► Higher levels of attack and emergence occurred on the tops of logs. ► Higher levels of attack and emergence occurred on large diameter logs. ► Attacks appear regulated by the apparency and accessibility of host material.
