Abstract
► A pulau, a forest reserve, managed by local community is a key component in their agriculture system. ► We compare reproductive process of a tropical tree between pulau and primary forest. ► Seed predation by vertebrates is lower in the pulau due to low density of animals. ► We found a low selfing rate and the high genetic diversity of the seed array. ► There is no strong negative effect on reproduction of the tree caused by the pulau.
